This decorative clay kit is designed for any age group not just children. I have also had allot of teens and parents get involved making some incredible pieces. Some ideas you can see from the images above include wall art, jewellery dishes/trays, planters, figurines, chess pieces, dry flower vases etc.

Designed to be created at home in 3 stages:

  1. Pick up kit from my studio, make your clay pieces at home & drop them back for kiln firing

  2. Pick up fired piece along with a painting kit, take them home to decorate, then drop it back for sealing (optional)

  3. Collect your finished work.

Pick up & drop off location: The Gap, Brisbane (10km from CBD)

More Details:

* SEALING YOUR WORK: Although not essential, you may wish to seal the surface of your work once it has been painted. I recommend using a CFC free non yellowing spray sealer. Bunning sells a variety of gloss or matte finishes in the craft area. You are also welcome to drop your finished painted work back to the studio and I will seal it for you at no additional cost. Please allow a few days turn around for this as I apply 2-3 coats.**

** If you are unable to finish your clay piece by the firing date listed, that's ok, just drop it back whenever you can and I will fire it with the next kiln load. It just means you may be waiting a bit longer for your piece to be fired and I cannot guarantee it will be done during the school holiday break.

# Please note: Kiln firing for this decorative kit is for one bisque fired piece only. Bisque firing makes the piece more durable than air dried clay however the item will be decorative not for functional use. To create an affordable kit, firing dates are restricted as above. Dates provided are a guide only and can change due to unforeseen issues with kiln, electricity/power outage, weather storms etc.

Quality acrylic paint set includes 6 mini pastel colours and 2 paint brushes (1 liner and 1 flat brush. The brushes may differ to what is pictured and is based on stock available at the time however will be of same or better quality.

'This was a great idea, thank you. Well organised and great communication.

Would definitely recommend.'

'Melanie, it was a fabulous creative outlet for our children and myself during the challenging weeks of 'lock-down'. Thank you for offering this

activity to our local community.' - Kate

'Excellent value and attention to detail made for an rewarding and satisfying experience. The broken up stages of the process due to social distancing actually extended the enjoyment. We all enjoyed the anticipation! Thank you.'

My kids did mine for Mother's Day. Melanie is great - very organised and clear instructions. Highly recommend! Oh and we had LOTS of laughs. - Renee

My kids (3 & 6) loved their kits and they are so reasonably priced considering it includes kiln firing and paint! It was an excellent stay-at-home activity (and added excitement of a short drive for non-contact drop off and pick up). - Lotus

We loved our clay kit too! Going out to find cool leaves and flowers to imprint was part of the fun! Instructions were easy to follow and pick up and drop off were a breeze with no contact. - Ashley
