Terms & Conditions
Please read before booking Classes

SECURING YOUR PLACE: Full payment of class fees must be made to secure your place. For private bookings and group events, a deposit of $100 min is required to secure your date. Full payment must be made 1 week prior to the event date.

CANCELLING YOUR PLACE: 1 week notice is required for a full refund. Please consider when cancelling that a significant amount of time in planning, preparation in scheduling studio space and purchasing of materials has been made weeks prior to the event. Also a class maybe cancelled if it cant meet the minimum attendees due to cancellations. You are welcome to re-gift or sell your ticket to someone else to attend in your place. If any problems please contact me to discuss.

*Covid-19 - We will at all times adhere to the strict health advise provided during the pandemic. All students are required to sanitize their hands on arrival. Whilst it is impossible to have a piece of all equipment for each student, every effort is made to accommodate Individual workstations will basic tools needed to minimise sharing. Classes are also structured around the ability to reduce sharing of tools wherever possible. There will be no sharing of food platters or drink dispensers. Each person will have their portions pre-prepared. Seats are spaced well apart to allow a safe distance. Most importantly, if you are displaying any flu like symptoms or symptoms similar to corona virus, please do not come to the class. If you are unwell I will kindly ask you to leave for the health and safety of myself and others. We will not take any risks. Please call me to discuss options if you find yourself having to cancel due to illness.

ADULTS CLASSES: Adult classes are specifically tailored for 18+ years. Some classes are offered wine sampling or a complimentary small wine/champagne. If you would like to have a full glass of wine you are welcome to BYO but please drink responsibly. Have a friend drop you off or get an Uber.

CHILDRENS CLASSES: These classes do not cater for food or drink. Children are welcome to bring along a NUT FREE snack and their drink bottle. Parents & Guardians are always welcome to accompany their child to watch.

CLASS DURATION: The class duration is specifically as advertised. Please vacate the premises within 20 minutes of the even conclusion. If you would like to continue socialising I can highly recommend a visit to the local Blind Tiger which is a 5 minute walk from my studio. Alternatively the Local Larder Wine Bar is only a 7 minute Uber up the road.

ALLERGIES: I am unable to cater for any food allergies, however if you are highly allergic to any known food, drink, fragrance or other please advise prior to booking. Children's classes are nut free, however if your child has a severe nut (or any other) allergy could you please advise upon arrival just so I am informed.

STUDENTS WORK OUTCOMES: When booking a class it is important to understand there could be times where the final outcome of works may not turn out entirely as envisaged. This is part of the learning experience especially for a beginner, as well as the nature of working with natural raw materials and heat work. Every effort is made to reduce these risks (and we always pray to kiln gods that it doesn’t occur & rarely does, but…) any damage to a ceramic object during the kiln firing stage is a part of the craft, therefore I, Melanie Hardy, is not responsible for any losses.

DISCLAIMER: By payment of a class, you are acknowledging that you are responsible for your own safety and will not hold Melanie Hardy accountable for any negligence. You are acknowledging that if you are to damage a piece of equipment, you are responsible to replace or reimburse for damages.

PRIVACY: Your details will not be used for any other purpose other than to correspond regarding ceramic classes & workshops.

If you have any questions or would like to join the wait list for future class dates, please email me: melaniehardyceramics@gmail.com
